Each portfolio company has one designated power user who leads AI enablement locally, runs training, and scales usage within their organisation.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>You are part of the AI Core team but your work extends beyond it. Most of your time is spent embedded within one of our portfolio groups: responsible for deploying and operating the <strong>AI Hub</strong> for the companies within that group and integrating AI into their real business processes. Beyond this, you support the M&#x26;A team to develop AI driven use cases to support our acquisition strategy. You build production-grade systems, connect AI capabilities to existing infrastructure and make sure what gets deployed actually runs stably in the long term. You step in when complex AI use cases require real engineering work and changes to the companies cloud infrastructure.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Work On</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and deploy production-grade AI solutions integrated into real operational systems: ERP, accounting tools, email inboxes, and legacy workflows</li> <li>Build, test, and maintain integrations with enterprise services including MCP servers, Microsoft Graph, Git/Bitbucket, and REST APIs</li> <li>You understand that shipping a solution is just the beginning. Your designs gather signals and feedback from operations for a continuous improvement cycle. Ensure AI systems run with full observability: logging, alerting, and audit trails that let non-technical stakeholders understand what is happening.</li> <li>Work closely with AI Champions and portfolio group teams to translate business needs into implementable AI solutions and enable the Champions with your technical expertise to implement more use cases without your help in the future</li> <li>Deploy, configure, and operate <strong>AI Hub</strong> <strong>instances (Open WebUI)</strong> for the portfolio companies within your assigned portfolio group: including onboarding, custom model setup, tool integrations, SSO, and ongoing maintenance</li> <li>Support the M&#x26;A team to identify new targets, automate outreach and, support Due Diligence of new acquisition targets</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>At least 2 years</strong> of professional experience in a DevOps, backend engineering, or platform engineering role</li> <li><strong>Python fluency</strong>: you write clean, maintainable code and are comfortable owning a codebase</li> <li>Practical experience with cloud infrastructure &#x26; production deployments on Azure, AWS, or GCP</li> <li>Solid familiarity with Docker, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD deployment workflows: including deploying and configuring containerised applications for end-customer environments</li> <li><strong>AI-native</strong>: you work with LLMs, know their limits, and have shipped something real using them</li> <li>Strong communication skills: you translate technical decisions into business language and can work effectively with <strong>non-technical stakeholders</strong></li> <li><strong>German (native or C2) and English (fluent)</strong>: both are used daily across teams and OpCos</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience integrating AI into ERP, CRM, or accounting systems</li> <li>Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and tool-calling patterns</li> <li>Infrastructure as Code experience (Bicep, Terraform, or CloudFormation)</li> <li>Experience with enterprise authentication and identity (OAuth, SSO, Azure AD / Entra ID)</li> <li>Prior experience working across multiple companies or in a group / holding structure</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <p><strong>What You'll Get</strong></p> <ul> <li>A dual role with real variety: strategic platform work at group level combined with hands-on implementation inside a Portfolio Platform</li> <li>Become part of CHAPTERS Group, a German serial acquirer with 10x growth in the past five years and high ambitions for what comes next</li> <li>A <strong>small, high-ownership team</strong>: decisions get made fast, your work ships to production.
