Analyst - Research & Data

<br><strong>About The Role </strong><p>We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented team player to join FAIRR as an analyst within our Research and Data (R&amp;D) team. In this role, you will be driving company-level research across our Protein Producer Index (PPI) and Seafood Index (SI). Our data-driven benchmarks help market participants to understand how companies are positioned to manage the risks and opportunities that lie within global food systems. In addition to owning a portfolio of companies, you will also be collaborating with FAIRR subject matter experts to develop sector and thematic research insights and feed into the product development cycle for our benchmarks. </p><br><strong>Key Outcomes & Accountabilities</strong><p><ul><li><strong>ESG Data Analysis</strong>: Collect, analyse and score publicly available data and build a view on how companies manage material ESG risks and opportunities. Apply FAIRR’s methodology with accuracy and consistency, ensuring adherence to internal quality standards. </li><li><strong>Identification of ESG Risks, Opportunities and Trends:</strong> Translate raw data into actionable insights at the company level, highlighting emerging risks, opportunities, trends and progress relevant to food system sustainability. Draft structured outputs in different formats: summaries, data-driven reports, and briefing notes that are robust and well-evidenced. </li><li><strong>Company Dialogue:</strong> Lead constructive and informative conversations with companies during the research cycle, providing clear guidance to them on process, timelines, methodology and findings to support transparency and dialogue. </li><li><strong>Company Monitoring:</strong> Continuously monitor your portfolio of companies outside research cycles, tracking strategic changes, new initiatives, emerging risks, and controversies. </li><li><strong>Stakeholder Support: </strong>Act as a key point of contact for investor members, the media and other external stakeholders seeking deeper insights into company scores and benchmark assessments. </li><li><strong>Expertise Development: </strong>Continually deepen your subject-matter expertise in global food systems and/or specific areas of our research methodologies. </li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Work on the frontline of our research, acting as a key source of feedback on how our methodologies, products, processes and technological systems can be evolved over time to better meet market needs. </li><li><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with colleagues across FAIRR teams on an ad hoc and project-based basis. This may include responding to research requests, supporting the preparation of investor and corporate engagement, contributing analytical input to briefings and documents, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.</li></ul></p><br><strong>Technical Expertise & Role-Specific Capability</strong><p><ul><li><span><span>Passionate about Sustainability – you want to deepen your understanding of the risks and opportunities that exist within our terrestrial and marine food systems today.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Excellent research and analytical skills—both qualitative and quantitative—with strong attention to detail. Ability to identify relevant trends in large data sets and derive conclusions based on the analysis. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Fluency in spoken and written English.
