Android Engineer - Subscriptions

<h3>What You'll Do</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Design, build, and evolve mobile experiences across some of Spotify’s most visible consumer surfaces.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contribute to the architecture and development of reusable mobile foundations, frameworks, and platform capabilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support and develop technical initiatives that improve scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience across the Spotify app.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and platform teams to shape product direction and technical strategy.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and drive quality through testing practices, observability, and operational excellence.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in experimentation and prototyping efforts tied to future-facing content and listening experiences.</p> </li> <li> <p>Explore modern engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development tools and emerging mobile technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Balance short-term product needs with long-term platform sustainability and technical health.</p> </li> <li> <p>Learn, grow, and contribute to Spotify's engineering culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and curiosity.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Who You Are</h3> <ul> <li> <p>You have experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.</p> </li> <li> <p>You are aware of how to build maintainable, scalable, reusable and well-tested software systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>You have experience collaborating with engineers and colleagues across disciplines.</p> </li> <li> <p>You care about code quality, testing, documentation, and long-term maintainability.</p> </li> <li> <p>You demonstrate curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to step outside your immediate area of expertise when needed.</p> </li> <li> <p>You are curious about using modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>You bring a growth mindset and continuously look for opportunities to learn, improve systems, products, and team practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>You might have familiarity with SQL, analytics systems, or data engineering concepts.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Where You'll Be</h3> <ul> <li>We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
