Associate IT Engineer

<p>The Associate IT Engineer is responsible for assisting with building, testing, and maintaining technical products and platforms in support of Casey's strategic objectives. May involve coordination on projects and/or system maintenance activities.</p> <p> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to development of existing and new technical solutions by analyzing and identifying areas of modification and improvement as directed by more senior team members.</li> <li>Maintain roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.</li> <li>Monitor, identify, assess and solve straightforward software problems to maintain fully functioning applications software.</li> <li>Proactively learn basic engineering and business industry best practices while also situationally learning from senior team members.</li> <li>Design, develop, execute and maintain straightforward automated unit tests to ensure quality of solution being built.</li> <li>Research and suggest improvements to increase quality of the technical solution and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Compensation</u></strong></p> <p>Starting pay range: $66,000 ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$90,800. ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company. </p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position<strong><u> requires </u></strong>authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future. <strong>Casey’s <u>will not provide sponsorship or employer support</u></strong> for applications or petitions for F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, J-1, or any other employment-based visa.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent years of related work experience is required.</li> <li>Minimum one (1) year of experience building and maintaining technical solutions in a business environment.</li> <li>Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Takes initiative and has the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with other IT professionals and business partners. </li> <li>Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain organized and self-motivated. Prioritizes and organizes assignments to make efficient use of time with significant attention to detail.</li> <li>Capable of identifying problems, analyzing and evaluating information to determine solutions for problem solving.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Preferred Experience</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical knowledge with hands on experience in MS Azure, SQL, &amp; C#.</li> </ul> <p>This role <strong><u>does not</u></strong> allow for 100% remote work. Qualified candidates must live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA and be willing to work <strong>onsite </strong>5 days per week. </p>
