Business Control Intern

You’ll help leadership understand how the business is doing and where it’s going. As part of your work, you’ll handle monthly reporting on our financial performance and prepare the board deck for the management team. And as proud members of 1% for the Planet, we care about how we grow, not just how fast.</p><h2><br /><br /><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Monitor business performance and report on key financial and operational metrics (with a focus on ARR growth)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform variance analysis between forecasts and actuals, and explain what’s driving the gaps</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including the board deck for the management team</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help the Business Controller gather inputs for forecasts, making sure the data is accurate and relevant</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work closely with the team on projects that drive business growth, profitability and operational excellence</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Streamline and automate existing processes using the AI tools available to you</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>Who you are:</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’re a student pursuing a Master’s in Finance or Accounting, with a strong academic track record </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’re comfortable in Excel and enjoy building clean, reliable models and reports </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’re AI-forward.
