Cheryl Dorsey and Sharyanne McSwain to co-lead Echoing Green

<p>Building on six years of successful partnership between two accomplished leaders, Echoing Green is delighted to announce a co-leadership model in which Cheryl Dorsey and Sharyanne McSwain will lead the organization together. With the full support of the Board of Directors, Cheryl will become Chief Executive Officer and Sharyanne will become President, effective July 1, 2025. Cheryl and Sharyanne will both drive Echoing Green’s success as co-leaders, with distinct roles that maximize their individual and complementary strengths.</p> <p>As CEO, Cheryl will focus externally to set the vision and agenda for the organization as well as deepen relationships with Echoing Green Fellows, funders, and partners. In the newly defined role of President, Sharyanne will focus internally on the people and priorities needed to translate Echoing Green’s vision and current strategic plan into impact.</p> <p>“I’ve worked closely with Sharyanne for six years, and I couldn’t be more inspired by her tremendous leadership,” said Cheryl. “Her new role is a well-earned promotion, recognizing the operational excellence and heart she’s brought to Echoing Green. I’m delighted to co-lead with her and look forward to working together to expand Echoing Green’s impact at a moment in history when it’s needed most.”</p> <p>“As Echoing Green continues to evolve, I’m excited to take on my new role as President,” said Sharyanne. “Since joining Echoing Green, I’ve felt a deep sense of purpose in leading the organization. I’m looking forward to continued partnership with Cheryl as the organization and its impact continue to grow.”</p> <p>Over the last six years, Cheryl and Sharyanne’s partnership was integral to Echoing Green’s sustained success. Under their leadership, Echoing Green raised over $75 million for a targeted fund supporting underrepresented social innovators. The organization also expanded its global presence by selecting some of its most geographically diverse Fellow cohorts to date.
