Our mission is to build proactive applications for anyone in the world, who are not used to complex prompting. We aim to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organising and workflows, with minimal to no prompting.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Our product focuses on achieving high reliability for long-running workflows, persistent context, and real-world task completion. This is a technical leadership role for someone who can operate across multiple businesses while remaining close to systems, architecture and engineering execution.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>What you will be doing</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own architecture and major technical decisions across group products and platforms.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review critical systems, architecture, infrastructure and code directly.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Set engineering standards across reliability, security, performance, testing and code quality.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Identify technical debt and architecture constraints and drive their resolution.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve engineering productivity, development speed and production reliability.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Decide where technology and infrastructure should be shared across Group businesses.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Recruit and assess senior engineers, technical leads and engineering leaders.</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>What you will need</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Deep software engineering background with experience building and scaling production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Capable of building world-class engineering teams.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Still technically hands-on - able to review code, architecture, incidents and difficult engineering problems directly.</p></li></ul><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
