In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of use cases where Apache Airflow sits at the center of the solution.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">The impacts you will make will enable customers to rapidly grow their businesses by adopting Astronomer products to meet their goals.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What you get to do:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Implement Astronomer’s software and services in the core of some of the world’s largest businesses and organizations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What you bring to the role:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Expertise in at least one programming language.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Good understanding of network complexities and architectures</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Versatile Terminal and CLI user, this will be a hands-on role, frequently without access to a GUI</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to read code</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work effectively with git</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Cloud-native data architecture experience</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong customer facing skills</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong oral and written communications skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Bonus points if you have:</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency in Python/Go.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Enterprise data experience with or in regulated environments</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with scripting/automation specifically infra (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">5+ years experience in a data engineering role or equivalent</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">3+ years in a customer-facing role</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with ElasticSearch/Prometheus/Vault</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>#LI-Hybrid</em></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">At Astronomer, we value diversity.
