Key projects will include developing and managing setups and test software for modem and link verification, both at the baseband and the RF level. The successful candidate is meticulous, has an end-to-end system mindset, is exceptionally strong in both digital engineering and software development, has a good understanding of RF, and enjoys cross-team interaction.</span></div><br><strong>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><li>Define, design, implement, and maintain measurement/test solutions for link/modem validation</li><li>Define and analyze calibration and metrology aspects (statistical error analysis, confidence levels, error budgets)</li><li>Develop modular, reusable software in Python (or similar languages) to be implemented in a variety of setups</li><li>Analyze and troubleshoot link-performance issues</li><li>Interact with DSP/HW/SW team to improve system performance</li><br><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br><li>Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics</li><li>2+ years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation</li><li>2+ years of programming experience using Python</li><br><strong>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</strong><br><li>Hands on Digital &amp; RF measurement experience (analyzers, vector signal generators, power sensors, network analyzers)</li><li>Hands on link-performance measurement experience (link/protocol testers, channel emulators)</li><li>Physical-layer satellite modem algorithms/standards (DVB-S2, CCSDS)</li><li>Experience in collaborative software design (GIT, code reviews)</li><li>Experience in test automation</li><li>Linux and Windows experience</li><li>Statistical analysis and metrology</li><div>CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 14px">Please be aware that many roles will be subject to both security and export control restrictions.
