Our mission is to make Polkadot the most active and innovative community in blockchain, powering a new era of connected and decentralised applications.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>About the Team</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role sits in our <strong>Acceleration department</strong>, home to the people who drive ecosystem growth by building tools, integrations, and partnerships across the Polkadot network.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">As a Core Developer within the Node function, you'll build and maintain the software that powers network communication, block production, and syncing across the Polkadot network - collaborating with design and engineering teams on infrastructure that's foundational to truly decentralised and resilient applications.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for new engineers to join the team. In these positions, you will:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and implement core node infrastructure that powers the Polkadot network and the teams building applications on it</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with design and engineering teams and see direct impact of your work</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work on networking, syncing, and tooling that keep the network fast, reliable, and resilient</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>Your Skills</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work autonomously and solve problems independently</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with others in an open-source culture, work well with peer review as a reviewer and reviewee</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Possess a good understanding of system design and an ability to work with complex systems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take ownership of their work and be responsible for outcomes</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Have good communication skills and can present work in “plain English” in blog posts or conferences</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h2><strong>About Working With Us</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">Joining Parity means joining team mates who are genuinely excited about the impact their projects are having, and the opportunity to grow alongside some of the brightest minds in the Web3 space!
