DevOps Engineer (remote, full-time)

Our incredible team works passionately to help other companies deliver quality and make workplaces safe.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).</li> <li>Continuously optimise and reduce infrastructure and cloud costs, especially our AWS bill.</li> <li>Automate environment provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes.</li> <li>Improve observability with tools like Datadog.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with developers and QA to ensure smooth deployments and operations.</li> <li>Proactively identify manual processes and automate them wherever possible.</li> <li>Upgrade and maintain local development environments to ensure consistency, performance, and secure integration (e.g., managing certificates, local TLS, dev containers, etc.).</li> <li>Apply strong Linux and system administration skills to manage servers, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure secure, stable environments.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p><strong>Must-haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).</li> <li>Proven track record of optimising AWS resources and reducing cloud spend.</li> <li>Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).</li> <li>Strong scripting or automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools and best practices.</li> <li>A strong sense of ownership and a mindset focused on efficiency and automation.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills in English.</li> <li>You are able to cooperate <strong>full-time</strong> (40 hours per week).</li> <li>You are **not located in Germany.**</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Compute Optimiser, Trusted Advisor).</li> <li>Experience working with PHP or Node.js.</li> <li>Experience with incident response and on-call rotations.</li> <li>Security background or experience managing secrets and IAM.</li> <li>Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).</li> <li>Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Work 100% remotely with flexible working hours.</li> <li>Annual meet-up in Berlin for a week (The Lumi-Week) with all employees where we have workshops, team events, drinks, delicious food, and good talks.</li> <li>We care about your personal &#x26; professional development.
