Finance Manager- Part Time (20 hours/wk)

<p>We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Finance Manager to own the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-moving deep-tech startup. You'll work directly with the CEO and external partners across the full scope of company finance.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Incoming invoice management &#x26; banking:</strong> incoming invoices management and internal approvals, payments, reconciliation, month-end-closing preparation for our external tax advisors.</li> <li><strong>Accounts receivables management:</strong> issue commercial invoices to customers and track incoming payments.</li> <li><strong>Point of contact for external tax consultants</strong></li> <li><strong>Grant administration (ProFit/IBB):</strong> project reporting, collect and check monthly timesheets for all employees, point of contact for grant administrators, fund-call submissions</li> <li><strong>Cash flow management:</strong> tracking, analyzing, and optimizing payments to ensure liquidity of the company, monthly projections vs. budget, department tracking, runway monitoring</li> <li><strong>Payroll:</strong> prepare monthly payroll and coordinate with external provider, process payments, manage onboarding/offboarding</li> <li><strong>Financial reporting:</strong> primary contact for external accountants, annual statement support, shareholder documentation</li> <li><strong>Management accounting</strong>: cost center budgeting and forecasting incl. production costs tracking</li> <li><strong>FZulG tax credit:</strong> prepare and submit R&#x26;D tax credit applications, liaise with authorities</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Completed Ausbildung or degree in business administration or related field</li> <li>2-5 years work experience in a finance role</li> <li>Solid knowledge of German accounting standards and payroll requirements</li> <li>Solid knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets</li> <li>Familiarity with invoice management software (we use Finway)</li> <li>German grant/funding administration experience a strong plus (ProFit, Forschungszulage)</li> <li>Fluent German; working-level English</li> <li>Highly organised, independent, proactive — comfortable owning problems in a small team</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <p><strong>What you can expect from us</strong></p> <p><strong>💓 Meaningful Work and Mission</strong>: Become a pivotal member of a groundbreaking company with a mission-driven focus on urgently reversing climate change.</p> <p><strong>🤗 Team Collaboration and Innovation</strong>: Join an ambitious team unified by a passion for fighting climate change.
