Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

We extract material data from delivery notes and invoices at item level and automate what construction companies still do by hand: documentation, invoice entry, reconciliation. We're looking for exceptional talent to help us empower the industry with smarter and more efficient solutions.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>About the role 🦺</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As our <strong>Forward Deployed Engineer</strong> you are the technical face of comstruct - the person who turns a signed deal into a live and working systems for the customer.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Most of your time you're building: scoping ERP and supplier integrations and making data of our customers flow reliably between systems. But you'll also be on construction sites and in customer meetings regularly - onboarding teams, debugging their problems with the goal to drive every project from POV to full rollout and go-live.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You're a builder who'd rather talk to customers and solve real problems on real construction sites than polish code in isolation? Then we should talk.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What you will be building</strong> 🏗️</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Own POV and rollout implementation:</strong> You implement the POV that wins the deal and then scale it into the full rollout across construction sites. From first integration to company-wide go-live, you own and implement it.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Integrate ERP systems:</strong> You connect our product to our customers' ERP systems. You scope the architecture, build the integration and make sure data flows reliably from day one.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Integrate suppliers:</strong> You bring our customers' suppliers onto the comstruct platform, turning delivery notes and invoices into structured, digital item-level data.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Run on-site onboardings:</strong> You go out where construction happens. You onboard teams directly on site and make sure comstruct works on the construction site, not just in the demo.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What we're looking for</strong> ✨</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You bring <strong>1-2 years</strong> of hands-on <strong>experience</strong> in Solution Engineering, Implementation, Product or Software Engineering, with coding and technical problem solving from APIs and scripts to system integrations with React, TypeScript or SQL.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You have owned a technical project from start to finish with direct customer contact: project plan, scoping, prioritization, implementation, testing and a successful go-live. Multiple parallel projects don't throw you off.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are curious to dig deep into our product. You want to understand how things work under the hood and you naturally connect what customers need with what the product can do.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are a natural communicator. People simply enjoy working with you, and you explain technical topics in a way that everyone in the room and on the construction site understands.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are a structured problem solver with a sharp analytical mind. New systems and complex setups don't intimidate you, you figure them out.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are willing to work five days a week from our Munich office with occasional customer travel.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are native in <strong>German</strong> and fluent in <strong>English</strong>.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>Nice to have:</em> Ideally, you have initial experience with Construction Tech, Supply Chain or Logistics SaaS experience; early-stage startup experience (&lt;50 employees) where you built processes from scratch.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Why join comstruct?</strong> 🛠️</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Construction is one of the largest and least digitized industries in the world.
