Full-Stack Software Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">A fast-growing, seed-stage enterprise AI platform company based in Berlin is looking for a <strong>Full-Stack Software Engineer</strong> to join their small, high-impact engineering team. Founded in 2023, the company builds an all-in-one platform that enables organisations to securely adopt and integrate generative AI — including AI chat, workflows, and custom agents — across their entire operations.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a full-time, on-site role in Berlin with substantial ownership from day one. You'll shape product features, drive architecture decisions, and ship quickly in a fast-paced early-stage environment. <strong>Visa sponsorship is available.</strong></p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs powering a scalable AI platform.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build end-to-end solutions spanning backend (Node.js), database layers, and frontend integration.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and scalability.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Implement API endpoints and integrate with third-party services and AI/ML providers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with the team on technical architecture decisions and system design.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain and optimize the codebase for performance, reliability, and maintainability.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Participate in rotating <strong>Support Engineer</strong> shifts, in which engineers periodically focus on supporting customers and the customer success team.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">3+ years of full-stack web development experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong proficiency with <strong>Node.js</strong>, <strong>React / Next.js</strong>, and <strong>TypeScript</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid command of <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> and SQL — data modeling, querying, and optimization.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with <strong>Tailwind CSS</strong> for frontend styling and implementation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven track record owning features end-to-end, from conception through production deployment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building AI-powered features or integrating AI/ML services into applications.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience designing robust APIs and integrating with third-party services and AI providers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong CS fundamentals and communication skills across product and cross-functional teams.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Willingness to participate in periodic support engineer rotations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to work on-site in <strong>Berlin, Germany</strong> (visa sponsorship available).</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €66,000 – €120,000 per year, depending on experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">High degree of ownership and direct impact at an early-stage company.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Opportunity to contribute to foundational architecture decisions as the team scales.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a fully <strong>on-site</strong> role based in <strong>Berlin, Germany</strong>.
