Global Treasury Analyst

Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.</p><p>The company is founder led, profitable and growing.</p><p>We are hiring a <strong>Global Treasury Analyst</strong> to optimize our cash returns, determine the appropriate mix of currency holdings, and manage bank credit risk. They will forecast opex and capex liquidity requirements and model free cash flow under a range of business scenarios to ensure an optimal return on cash. We are an organisation that hires globally and pays salaries in many local currencies. Our customers are global but products are typically priced in USD. We are largely paid in advance for our services, so this role is primarily focused on risk-free yield optimization and currency planning to manage exchange rate risk. This senior role will interact with executives, financial planning and analysis, accounting, legal and our external auditors and advisors. They may also assist with equity plan administration. As a finance team, we hunt for new and innovative ways to help Canonical invest for the future while limiting volatility and material surprises, and are excited to grow the team to address this specialist domain.</p><p>This role will report to the CFO.</p><h2>Key responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Analyse, forecast and manage global cash positions and liquidity in multiple currencies for multiple entities</li> <li>Forecast a range of business scenarios to optimize yield and operating efficiency</li> <li>Recommend actions to manage foreign currency exposure and risk</li> <li>Manage bank credit risk, transaction execution, and relationships</li> <li>Ensure appropriate controls are in place around cash and investment strategy</li> <li>Identify process and system improvements for cash flow forecasting</li> <li>Prepare and present treasury reports, documents and proposed strategies to management</li> <li>Collaborate with accounting in the management of inter-company transactions and balances</li> <li>Lead technology implementations including a treasury management system</li> <li>Ensure compliance with SOX controls, FBAR, FATCA, and related regulations</li> </ul><h2>What we are looking for in you</h2><ul> <li>An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university</li> <li>Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics or other quantitative field</li> <li>CTP, CFA, or equivalent certification in Treasury or Analysis</li> <li>Relevant professional experience in a global treasury function</li> <li>A passion for technology and a drive to work with motivated colleagues</li> <li>Professional written and spoken English and excellent presentation skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability </li> <li>Thoughtfulness and self-motivation </li> <li>Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments </li> <li>A track record of going above-and-beyond expectations</li> <li>Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long</li> </ul><h2>Additional skills that you might also bring</h2><ul> <li>Leadership ability</li> <li>Software or tech industry experience</li> <li>Public company finance and reporting experience</li> <li>Experience managing transfer agents and/or administering employee equity plans a plus</li> <li>MBA or equivalent combination of professional experience and certifications</li> <li>Experience with Business Intelligence reporting, CRM, and ERP systems</li> </ul><h2>What we offer you</h2><p>We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide.
