Join our team and help us continue to make Cirrus Logic an exceptional place to grow your career!&nbsp;</span></div><div><br></div><div> <p>Join Cirrus Logic’s Edinburgh team as a Graduate / Entry-level Mixed-Signal IC Layout Engineer and kick-start your career designing high-performance silicon for cutting-edge applications.</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate understanding of semiconductor physics and manufacturing technologies.&nbsp; We welcome recent graduates as well as candidates with first-level layout experience to support analogue design engineers, and physical design engineers.</p> <p>You will gain mentorship from technical leaders, see your efforts resulting in silicon designs incorporated into world-class products, and career progression in an environment based around innovation and collaboration.</p> </div><br><strong>Responsibilities: </strong><br> <li>Complete layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal designs using industry standard CAD tools</li> <li>Work closely with design engineers to achieve optimal circuit performance and produce high-quality layout designs&nbsp;</li> <li>Create layout floorplans and provide area estimates with accuracy</li> <li>Provide schedule estimates and updates to senior staff and management with clarity&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers to deliver efficient floorplans and layout designs</li> <li>Contribute to complex IC development projects and prepare documents for knowledge sharing</li> <br><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications: </strong><br> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or related program</li> <li>Knowledge of semiconductor physics</li> <li>Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes</li> <li>Ability to solve layout design problems and provide innovative solutions</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Comfortable working in a team environment set-up</li> <li>Proven record of completing tasks on time or ahead of schedule while maintaining quality&nbsp;</li> <br><strong>Preferred Skills and Qualifications: </strong><br> <li>Ability to layout simple to complex analog circuitry in a size/time constrained environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Comfortable with various IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal fundamental layout techniques</li> <li>Understanding of ESD, Latch-up, Layout parasitic, EMIR, LDE, DFM and Antenna effect</li> <li>Proficiency in floor planning activities with block assembly, and block-level routing</li> <li>Understand layout matching, isolation, shielding, and the use of dummy devices</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to contribute ideas for improved efficiency and automation of layout tasks</li> <div> <p>This position is based in our Edinburgh office, UK</p> <p>This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference.
