<br><strong>About the role</strong><p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">The Industrial Application team of Agile Robots is looking for a motivated <strong>Intern (m/f/d) Vision Software Development</strong> to support the development, testing, and commissioning of industrial vision systems for robotic and AGV applications. In this full-time internship, you will work hands-on across the entire lifecycle of our vision solutions — from software development and camera calibration at our Munich headquarters to on-site commissioning at customer production sites.</span></p><br><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong><p><ul><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><span><strong>Vision Software Development:</strong> </span></span><span>Develop, test, and maintain software components for industrial 2D/3D vision systems, including API-based secondary development on top of vision vendor SDKs.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>Camera Setup & Calibration:</strong> </span><span>Configure and calibrate 2D area-scan/line-scan cameras and 3D sensors for robotic and AGV applications, performing nine-point, checkerboard, and 3D hand-eye calibrations.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>Algorithm Debugging:</strong> </span><span>Support the debugging and tuning of core vision algorithms, from QR-code and natural-contour (V-SLAM) AGV navigation to deep-learning-based detection models.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>Testing & Automation:</strong> </span><span>Write Python scripts for automated testing and data-log analysis, and validate vision system performance in the lab and in production-like environments.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>System Integration:</strong> </span><span>Configure and troubleshoot data exchange between vision industrial PCs (IPCs) and PLCs, supporting communication via TCP/IP sockets, Modbus TCP, and ROS/ROS2.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>On-Site Commissioning:</strong> </span><span>Travel to customer sites to install, commission, fine-tune, and troubleshoot vision systems on real production lines.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;color:rgb(0,0,0);"><span><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration:</strong> </span><span>Work closely with robotics, software, and application engineers to integrate vision solutions into end-to-end robotic systems.</span></li></ul></p><br><strong>Essential Skills</strong><p><ul><li style="text-align:justify;"><span><span><strong>Education:</strong> </span></span><span><span>Ongoing Bachelor's or </span><span>Master's </span><span>studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or a related field (or recently graduated).</span></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span><span><strong>Camera Hardware & Calibration:</strong> </span></span><span><span>Hands-on experience configuring and calibrating mainstream 2D area-scan/line-scan cameras (</span><span>e.g.</span><span>Basler) and 3D sensors (</span><span>e.g.</span><span>Intel RealSense, structured-light cameras), including nine-point, checkerboard, and 3D hand-eye calibration.</span></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span><span><strong>Vision Algorithms:</strong> </span></span><span><span>Understanding of </span><span>the underlying logic of vision-based AGV navigation — QR-code navigation and natural-contour navigation (V-SLAM) — as well as the deployment of deep-learning-based detection models (</span><span>e.g.</span><span>the YOLO series).</span></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span><span><strong>Programming & Scripting:</strong> </span></span><span><span>Good C++ and Python programming skills, with the ability to make API calls and perform simple secondary development based on vision vendor SDKs; proficient in Python for automated test scripts and data-log processing; comfortable working in Linux (Ubuntu) environments.</span></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span><span><strong>Industrial Communication:</strong> </span></span><span><span>Ability to configure data exchange between vision IPCs and PLCs;
