We control hundreds of thousands of energy assets.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re building in a legacy industry and moving gigawatt-hours of electrons in the real world, but we operate at lightning speed, and we’re growing the team to meet customer demand.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re proud to be supported by world-leading investors, including Energize Capital and Accel.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Read more about what we’re building <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="button--2de5X button--14TuV tertiary--1JsWJ external" href="https://www.axle.energy/blog/analysis/power-of-the-home"><strong><u>here</u></strong></a>.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>About the role </h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">Axle has quickly become the leader in our operational markets, and we’re now looking to expand our reach internationally.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Our goal is to become the go-to platform for energy flexibility globally, and we’re hiring the person to make that happen.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role will assess Axle’s future markets and business models from first principles: diving deep into regulations, modelling revenue-per-asset, and trialling new propositions at startup-urgent pace.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What you will be doing</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Defining and executing Axle’s international expansion plans</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assessing business models, evaluating access requirements/regulation, and modelling value in countless power markets around the world.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Jumping on the phone (and eventually, getting on the ground) with grid operators, utilities/retailers, partners and prospects to create and disprove hypotheses as quickly as possible.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Kick-starting Axle’s operations in new geographies: scoping and setting up pilots, tracking down partners, and building relationships.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em">As such, we are looking for a “full-stack operator” who can process highly technical information, sniff out commercial value, and run through walls to get us into markets at speed.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is an opportunity to repeatedly deliver first-of-a-kind projects across the world, become a domain expert, and work at the bleeding edge of global electrification.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What's in it for you </h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">A meaningful slice of equity in Axle, alongside a competitive salary, with total compensation ranging from £75k–£200k (base salary + equity). </p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We operate with a deliberately flat structure and aim to keep pay equitable across the company, with a 1:1 median ratio between founder and team compensation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Enhanced parental leave to support you through life's meaningful moments.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bi-annual retreats to strengthen team connection &amp; shared purpose.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hybrid working - We have a dog-friendly office around Farringdon.
