This is a remote position.</p> <p><strong>Job requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Highly motivated, outgoing and energetic with a professional demeanor</li> <li>Self-starter</li> <li>Comfortable learning and using multiple software tools</li> <li>Customer-oriented and empathetic toward drivers</li> <li>Ability to build rapport by phone, email, and SMS messaging</li> <li>Highly organized and detail oriented</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure and deadlines</li> <li>Ability to deal with upset customers or drivers when necessary</li> <li>Have problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to ever changing situations</li> <li>Ability to think on your feet when a transport goes sideways</li> <li>Ability to multitask</li> <li>Willingness to learn</li> <li>Ability to accept constructive feedback</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Good math skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm&nbsp;<strong>Mountain Standard Time</strong></li> <li>Communicate with customers, quote rates, and provide up to date information regarding loads.</li> <li>Coordinate loading and unloading arrangements with drivers and customers.</li> <li>Input orders efficiently and accurately – attention to detail is crucial.</li> <li>Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers</li> <li>Vet new carrier partners; Review FMCSA ratings, confirm insurance</li> <li>Monitor driver progress from pick up to delivery</li> <li>Dispatch freight daily by phone and operating systems</li> <li>Willing to work weekends as needed (currently this is very rare)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Salary – DOE</li> <li>Health and Dental insurance (company contributes to health insurance premium)</li> <li>Optical plan (in-house $360 reimbursement per year)</li> <li>Retirement plans with employer contributions&nbsp;(up to 3%)</li> <li>Paid vacation</li> <li>Paid holidays</li> </ul> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/j-s-transportation-dispatch-professional">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/j-s-transportation-dispatch-professional</a></p>
