You will build and lead our legal function as we develop new products, enter partnerships, and grow the company.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead negotiations and own our contracts with partners, grid operators, and service providers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own regulatory compliance and consumer protection, anticipating changes that affect our products and plans.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage legal work across financing rounds, employment, and technology, coordinating specialist counsel where needed.</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h1>Exciting challenges</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Build the function from scratch.</strong> Decide which work to bring in-house, where we need external counsel, and what we can standardise or automate. Build the contracts and processes we will rely on as Nomos grows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Follow the consequences through the business.</strong> A new product can change our obligations to households, our agreements with partners, and the way our software needs to work. Understand those connections and work through them before we commit.</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><h1>Who you are</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>You can defend your judgement.</strong> You hold a state exam or equivalent qualification and have handled complex legal work in energy, another regulated industry, or a company that grew fast. You can explain your recommendation and the reasoning behind it.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>You read what others skim.</strong> You check definitions, cross-references, and exceptions.
