Maintenance Technician

<p><strong>Overview: </strong>Our client is a “boutique” property management organization that caters to international UHNWI (Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals) with property investment interests in the Caribbean. Due to growth, they are seeking to add a proven technician to be actively involved in the maintenance of a luxurious private household and estate on the picturesque west coast of Barbados.<br></p><p><strong> <br></strong></p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br></strong></p><ul> <li>Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs across electrical systems (lighting, sockets, switchboards), as well as basic plumbing, HVAC support, and general building fabric.<br> </li> <li>Diagnose and repair electrical faults, replace components, and perform safe isolation and basic testing.<br> </li> <li>Support the implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.<br> </li> <li>Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergency callouts.<br> </li> <li>Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment, working both independently and under supervision where required.<br> </li> <li>Maintain tools and equipment, support inventory management, and report stock requirements.<br> </li> <li>Adhere to Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work, ensuring compliance with health &amp; safety and site security protocols.<br> </li> <li>Liaise with senior maintenance staff and external contractors, ensuring clear communication and proper handover of unresolved issues.<br> </li> <li>Operate professionally within a luxury environment, maintaining discretion, efficiency, and a high standard of presentation.<br> </li> <li>Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the role.<br> <br><br></li></ul>Requirements<br><br><ul> <li>Qualified Electrician (essential).<br> </li> <li>Additional trade certifications in plumbing and/or HVAC are advantageous, or equivalent hands-on experience.<br> </li> <li>3–5 years’ practical experience in maintenance within residential or commercial properties.<br> </li> <li>Proven experience in fault-finding, basic testing, and preventative maintenance.<br> </li> <li>Strong electrical knowledge with good all-round maintenance ability.<br> </li> <li>Practical problem-solving skills and effective time management.<br> </li> <li>Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently or within a small team.<br> </li> <li>Clear communication skills and ability to maintain basic records/logs.<br> </li> <li>Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.<br></li></ul><br/><br/>Please mention the word **PAINLESSLY** and tag RMmEwMTo0Zjk6NmE6MTY2YTo6Mg== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMmEwMTo0Zjk6NmE6MTY2YTo6Mg==).
