Message Center Operator

<strong>Amentum</strong> is seeking a <strong>Message Center Operator </strong>to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in <strong>Andros Island, Bahamas</strong>. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. The <strong>Message Center Operator </strong>is responsible for maintaining strict accountability for Local Element CMS/EKMS and other associated classified materials, records, and equipment in the Communications Message Center. They will also be responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing Naval and civilian message traffic for the AUTEC project. <strong>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.<br><br></strong><strong>Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Proficiency in loading classified material utilizing electronic devices and adherence to stringent COMSEC procedures. </li><li>Monitor communications circuits during real-time test operations and initiates action to rectify circuit outages. </li><li>Monitor all circuits for ACC when ACC is not staffed. </li><li>Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate technical and management personnel. </li><li>Maintain and establish radio and telephone communications as required including adherence to proper procedures and record keeping. </li><li>Maintain a detailed daily official record of tasks/duties/events accomplished or observed in the Communications Message Center. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned, required or directed. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school graduate/equivalent or better. </li><li>3-5 years related experience working in a communications computer media environment. </li><li>Military Message Center/EKMS experience desired and preferred. </li><li>Ability to pass Message Center Communications Qualifications requirements within 60 days of hire. </li><li>Maintain and sustain training and level of knowledge requirements in associated administrative and limited technical disciplines. </li><li>Adapt to a rotating shift schedule (12-hour increments). </li><li>Maintain a consistent high standard of professionalism with customers and coworkers. </li><li>Able to follow a structured chain of command. </li><li>Demonstration of consistently excellent customer service skills required. </li><li>Occasionally lift/pull/push up to and including 40 pounds of office supplies. </li><li>Frequently exposed to circuit noise and periodic alarms in the Message Center. </li><li>Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows 10 or later and MS Outlook.
