You think deeply about what makes these games fun and enjoy building the technical systems that make them possible. <br /><br />You have robust engineering fundamentals, a high-ownership mentality and enjoy working collaboratively. You are eager to wear many hats across game design, UI/UX, and community management, and can iterate quickly on a live product whilst learning from player feedback.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Some professional experience in software engineering, either through internships, or scaled side projects.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience developing games, game engines or modding through side projects.</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Things you could work on within your first 2 months:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Create and manage your own game</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop new gameplay systems inside existing games</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build new engine features for use by other game developers</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Profile and optimise performance</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop an in-game item marketplace</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve our partner implementations (E.g. CrazyGames, Discord Activities)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Play a lot of Bloxd :)</p></li></ul><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Our tech</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We have a TypeScript-first codebase, and use a combination of React, WebGL, and Node. This tech allows us to deliver Bloxd in an incredibly accessible way, and provides a great developer experience.
