The ideal candidate will ensure the security, integrity, and performance of our databases while implementing best practices for data management, backup, and recovery&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><p>Design, install, configure, and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;SQL Server databases to support business applications.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Monitor database performance, implement tuning improvements, and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;SQL queries.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Develop and manage database security, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Perform regular database backups, recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Automate database processes and&nbsp;implement&nbsp;monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide&nbsp;timely&nbsp;resolutions.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Implement and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and best practices.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in strategic planning for database infrastructure improvements and scalability.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements&nbsp;/ Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><p>Education:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in computer science,&nbsp;information&nbsp;technology, or&nbsp;a related&nbsp;field.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>7+ years&nbsp;of experience as an SQL Database Administrator.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Skills:&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Expertise&nbsp;in&nbsp;SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)&nbsp;and Azure SQL.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;in&nbsp;T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Knowledge of&nbsp;backup and recovery strategies, high availability solutions (Always On, Mirroring, Replication).&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Preferred&nbsp;Skills:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><p>Familiarity with&nbsp;cloud database services (Azure, AWS RDS)&nbsp;is preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience with&nbsp;SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS&nbsp;is a plus.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience with&nbsp;Databricks&nbsp;SQL&nbsp;Warehousing&nbsp;is a plus&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience with&nbsp;DB Migration&nbsp;is a plus, specially&nbsp;from one cloud to another&nbsp;</p></li></ul> </div> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/nps-prism-senior-sql-database-administrator-dba-brazil-remote">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/nps-prism-senior-sql-database-administrator-dba-brazil-remote</a></p>
