Part Time Customer Service Representative

<h2>Overview</h2><p>This is a part-time, Monday- Friday, hourly position (approximately 24-32 hours a week). Hourly rate $19.00/hour.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>About the Role:</u></strong></p><p>As a core member of our Customer Service<em> </em>team, you will be expected to: </p><ul> <li>Handle incoming calls from customers to take product orders</li> <li>Respond to incoming calls and emails from customers and Sales Representatives</li> <li>Enter and adjust orders in our computer system</li> <li>Identify opportunities to up-sell products and services, and explain new offerings</li> <li>Respond to requests for promotional materials</li> <li>Maintain accurate customer account information</li> <li>Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the complaint; determining the cause, and explaining the best resolution</li> <li>Follow up to ensure satisfaction and resolution</li> <li>Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments</li> <li>Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the above responsibilities</li> </ul><p> </p><p>As your employer, Perry’s will help you to achieve all of the above goals through feedback, education, and continuous professional development.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> </p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul> <li>HS diploma or GED </li> <li>Prior work experience in a customer service position is preferred </li> <li>Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>Job Requirements: </strong></p><ul> <li>Strong customer service skills; with a focus on providing world-class service to both internal and external customers</li> <li>Excellent written communications skills, with the ability to compose professional emails and letters using proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax</li> <li>Effective verbal communication skills</li> <li>Able to make and receive phone calls</li> <li>Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with leaders, team members, and outside contacts</li> <li>Maintain a positive attitude and treat others with respect</li> <li>Demonstrates sound independent judgment and ability to solve issues of moderate complexity</li> <li>Excellent computer/typing skills and accurate data entry</li> </ul><ul> <li>Capable of learning established procedures and product specifications </li> <li>Effective in managing multiple tasks with limited direct supervision</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul> <li>Office environment during initial training period</li> <li>Employer is open to a hybrid to fully remote role after successful completion of training period and demonstration of job proficiency</li> <li>Department office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While part-time schedules may vary, all work hours are performed within this window, allowing employees to maintain evenings and weekends for personal and family commitments. </li> </ul><p><strong>Pay</strong></p><p><strong>Base Pay Rate: </strong>$19.00 / hour </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><em>Perry's Ice Cream is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug free facility.</em></p>
