We believe the fastest way to learn is by doing, so we give you the ownership to run with things and see the results of your work in real-time.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Managing daily payment runs</strong> across our bespoke internal systems, handling both inbound and outbound transactions (Direct Debits, Open banking, Card payments, Faster payments, and bank transfers).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Spotting unusual payment patterns</strong> and irregular account behaviour— applying an immediate solution while working with our tech teams on permanent system fixes.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Mastering the end-to-end flow of money</strong> across our various products (including Term Loans and FlexiPay), knowing exactly how to handle and route payment exceptions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Carrying out daily operational checks</strong> and authorising internal and external transactions correctly, ensuring our data aligns perfectly to prevent any breaks between internal ledgers and bank accounts.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Working closely with the AML and Financial Crime teams </strong>—supplying the AML team with the transaction data they need for daily checks, and ensuring preventative measures are actioned at the request of the Fraud team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Keeping our processes fully compliant</strong> with regulatory standards, focusing on FCA guidelines and CASS (Client Money) rules.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Liaising with teams across the business</strong>, including Capital Market Operations, Collections, and Customer Success.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Answering payment queries</strong> from internal colleagues.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What we’re looking for 🌱</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We value deep expertise, but a growth mindset and good energy are what really make our team click. We’re a group that chooses to lift each other up and think smart every day.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>A sharp eye for detail:</strong> A meticulous approach to checking figures and ledgers in a fast-paced environment where minor mistakes have a direct financial impact.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Comfortable with data:</strong> Happy looking at transactional data to spot trends, anomalies, or system drops, using Excel or basic data dashboards.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Practical problem-solving:</strong> The ability to track down ambiguous payment exceptions and handle manual workarounds calmly when things don't go to plan.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Operations experience:</strong> Background working in a high-volume transactional environment (e.g. Fintech, payment processing, retail banking, or busy financial administration).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>CASS or Client Money awareness:</strong> A good baseline understanding of safeguarding client funds and working within an FCA-regulated environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Able to proactively identify ways to use Generative AI to streamline your daily tasks and improve your personal productivity</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Confident using approved AI tools safely and effectively to enhance your output and find a better way of working</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>We’re building a place where everyone truly feels they belong.
