You'll work at the centre of a major shift toward AI-native product experiences, with direct access to C-level leadership to shape the product vision from day one. On-site in Berlin, Germany.</strong></p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Own entire product areas end-to-end</strong> — from conception to delivery — working directly with C-level and engineering to ship ideas to millions of students within days.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Raise the quality bar</strong> on everything students see, touch, and feel — world-class UI, motion design, and micro-interactions that set a new standard.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Build and scale a design system from the ground up</strong> — curated references, stellar components, and sharp reviews that make quality easy to replicate across the team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Pioneer AI-native design</strong> — develop AI-assisted workflows and AI-native product experiences that change how the team researches, ideates, and ships.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Set the reference point</strong> — create UIs students want to screenshot and details they feel but can't name.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Mentor and guide</strong> more junior designers, raising the collective craft of the team.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Several years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates shipped work — work that <em>moved metrics</em> and delighted real users (portfolio matters more than tenure).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Actively uses AI tools across the full design loop: prototyping, research, and shipping — not experimenting, <em>multiplying</em>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Systems thinker who scales quality across a product, not just a pretty component library — code-first design systems, AI-powered design reviews, whatever works at speed and scale.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven ability to simplify complex, messy user journeys into experiences that feel obvious.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bias toward action: prototypes over presentations, experiments over endless debate.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience guiding and levelling up more junior designers.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Builder mentality — bonus if you've shipped a side project end-to-end or opened a merge request.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in consumer apps, EdTech, or fast-paced B2C environments.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience at companies like Quizlet, Khan Academy, Brainly, Memrise, Chegg, or similar consumer/EdTech products.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>You won't be a fit if you:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prefer slow deliberation over fast shipping.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Are sceptical of or resistant to AI tools in your workflow.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work best as a solo, territorial artist rather than a team-first collaborator.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Default to decks and presentations rather than prototypes and experiments.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Like</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">51–200 person company, growing fast across a global student audience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Direct feedback culture — no preciousness, no territory.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Builders who ship: ideas go from concept to millions of users in days, not quarters.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">AI is central to how the product is built <em>and</em> how the team works.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">On-site in <strong>Berlin, Germany</strong>.
