Product Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a foundational product engineering role at a small, high-caliber founding team building an <strong>AI-native automation platform for private market operations</strong>. You will lead the design and build of the core interface where operations teams interact with AI agents — shaping the design system, review workflows, and human-in-the-loop UX that make agent output trustworthy and easy to act on. Your work will have outsized impact on how users experience AI at work, from day one.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">The company is based in <strong>Berlin, Germany</strong> and operates on-site. Visa sponsorship is available.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and maintain the company's design system and UX patterns for complex, workflow-driven applications.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Create product interfaces that connect users to AI agents and data sources (ERPs, banking systems, email, file storage, and more).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build human-in-the-loop flows for reviewing, approving, and acting on agent-generated outputs — including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Conduct user research with operations stakeholders to identify pain points and iteratively refine product features.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">1–7 years of professional frontend development experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong proficiency in <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>React</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with <strong>Tailwind CSS</strong> for UI styling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience developing, documenting, or evolving design systems for complex applications.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A track record building workflow-driven interfaces that involve human review, exception handling, or approval steps.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong product intuition and UX craft.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Interest in AI-agent products and designing for trust when presenting automated outputs.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with private markets, fund accounting, or financial operations workflows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Enthusiasm for joining a small founding team with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €70,000 – €110,000 per year, depending on experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Early-stage equity opportunity as part of a founding-level team.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is <strong>on-site in Berlin, Germany</strong>.
