<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're a small, mission-driven energy technology company building a full-stack platform that enables hardware manufacturers and energy providers to offer dynamic electricity plans to European households. Our team operates at the frontier of AI-assisted development, licensed electricity retail, and complex domain engineering — and we're looking for a <strong>product-focused engineer</strong> who thrives at the intersection of customer discovery, end-to-end delivery, and engineering culture.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a high-ownership, zero-to-one role. You'll work directly with customers, shape the product, and ship production-grade experiences that move the business in a measurable way.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Sit with customers to dissect problems and develop product intuition that drives engineering decisions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship end-to-end solutions across the full stack, taking features from discovery through to production.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use AI-native development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) as genuine force multipliers for your output.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own zero-to-one problems — think dunning workflows, customer portal re-engineering, billing infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prioritize ruthlessly: decide what to build, what to skip, and when to kill an initiative.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solve core energy retail challenges: billing, procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes, and help raise the bar as the team grows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Adapt quickly to new tools and methods, and bring teammates along to the frontier.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Must-haves:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A track record of shipping real product work — we assess what you've built, not just years on a résumé.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">2+ years of software engineering experience delivering end-to-end, full-stack products to production.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven end-to-end ownership of zero-to-one problems, from discovery to live product.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with AI-native codebases and AI-assisted development tools.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort solving billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost-optimization problems in a consumer-facing or energy retail domain.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience shaping engineering culture, tooling, and processes in a small or early-stage team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">High ownership mindset with strong judgment and an ability to thrive in ambiguity.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in energy retail, utilities, or adjacent regulated industries.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contributions to high-engineering-bar environments or notable open-source projects.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience operating with extreme ownership in a high-growth, fast-moving startup.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €80,000 – €120,000 per year, depending on experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Early-stage equity participation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Direct influence over product direction and engineering culture at a pivotal stage.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>On-site in Berlin, Germany</strong> (Mitte area).
