Product Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're a fast-moving, pre-seed healthtech startup building a modern preventive health platform — combining advanced diagnostics, biomarker-driven insights, AI-powered concierge experiences, and personalized health dashboards into one seamless product. We're looking for a highly autonomous <strong>Product Engineer</strong> to join us on-site in Berlin and help shape the product from the ground up.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a founder-mode role: no PMs, no hand-offs, no tickets handed down from above. You'll work directly with the founding team, own features end-to-end, and ship real product that reaches real users.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship product end-to-end across the web app, backend, and third-party integrations (lab partners, supplement manufacturers)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and iterate on customer-facing experiences — biomarker dashboards, personalized action plans, and subscription flows</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own engineering infrastructure and AI development tooling as the team and product scale</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work directly with the founders to translate product ideas into working software, fast</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Integrate external APIs from lab and manufacturer partners into a cohesive platform experience</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Up to 1 year of software development experience — what matters most is that you've <em>shipped real software</em>, ideally in a startup, founder, or indie-hacker context</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with modern AI development workflows and tooling (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, agentic workflows, evals)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrated experience designing and building customer-facing dashboards and subscription flows for web applications</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building integrations with external partners via APIs</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack ownership mindset — comfortable across frontend, backend, and integrations</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Professional working proficiency in English</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, founder-style environment</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Must be eligible to work in Germany without employer visa sponsorship</strong> (no sponsorship available)</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency in <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>Next.js</strong> with <strong>React</strong> and <strong>PostgreSQL</strong>; familiarity with <strong>Supabase</strong> and <strong>Vercel</strong> is a plus</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Genuine interest or background in preventive health, longevity, or biomarker science</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> $36,000 – $48,000 per year</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Early-stage equity opportunity in a growing healthtech company</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Direct collaboration with founders and a high degree of ownership from day one</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Berlin, Germany — fully on-site, five days per week</strong> (non-negotiable)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Visa sponsorship is <strong>not available</strong>; candidates must have existing authorization to work in Germany</p></li></ul><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
