Program Delivery Officer Level 1

In this role you will ensure a high level of community safety through the delivery of approved general and /or sexual offending programs to those offenders assessed as requiring offender intervention programs.<br><br><strong>Mandatory Requirements<br><br></strong>The following mandatory requirements apply to this role:<br><br><ul><li> The possession of a tertiary qualification in preferably in psychology, social work, education or behavioural sciences, however, other Bachelor degrees may be considered at the discretion of the recruitment panel in consultation with Offender Rehabilitation and Management Services.</li><li> Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional association will be highly regarded</li><li> PDO specialising in the delivery of sexual offending programs you will be provided with training in the use of relevant assessment tools (STATIC-99 and STABLE-2000) to allocate sex offenders to appropriate treatment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>The primary accountabilities of the Program Delivery Officer (Level 1) include:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Participate in planning activities to ensure offenders have timely access to appropriate programs and interventions</li><li> Prepare offenders for offender intervention programs</li><li> Ensure offender program activities are consistent with evidence-based practice</li><li> Deliver offender intervention programs in accordance with operational plans</li><li> Provide advice to relevant officers regarding offender program suitability and/or other interventions</li><li> Monitor progress of offenders during programs and related activities and report on progress</li><li> Comply with program management procedures, standards and guidelines</li><li> Identify and respond appropriately to risks arising from offender management</li><li> Maintain own level of knowledge of contemporary offender programs research and practices, and legislation, policy and procedures in relation to offender management</li><li> Participate in case management activities as required for offenders assessed as requiring program participation</li><li> Provide timely information to relevant sites in relation to each offender's participation in programs for case management</li><li> Monitor offender management files and programs to ensure continuity and consistency</li><li> Ensure records and information data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS) are accurate and current</li><li> Administer appropriate assessments to offenders</li><li> Analyse assessment results and record information</li><li> Contribute to case management and sentence management activities for offenders</li><li> Ensure records and information data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS) and the Offender Programs Assessment Service (OPAS) are accurate and current</li><li> Ensure maintenance, accuracy and appropriateness of records and intervention reports, program data for appropriate authorities</li><li> Ensure the timely provision of advice to courts, boards and other agencies regarding offenders</li><li> Provide program impact reports to courts and parole boards for participants</li><li> Promote value of offender programs to relevant agencies and support services</li><li> Develop productive relationships with service providers and the community generally to enhance the community's regard for offender programs<br><br></li></ul>The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role.
