Our Talent Acquisition team will keep your information on file and reach out if a suitable opportunity becomes available.</p> <h3>Typical Project Details:</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Project Focus</strong>: Most QA Tester roles involve manual testing of mobile apps and APIs, typically within Agile development teams.</li> <li><strong>Project Duration</strong>: Contracts can be temporary, ranging from 6 months to 1 year, or ongoing. Many temporary projects extend beyond their initial term, and some evolve into ongoing contractor opportunities. </li> <li><strong>Location</strong>: This job ad is open to candidates in select countries who are comfortable working in a fully remote setup. Countries we are considering consist of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Estonia, India, Ireland, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, or the United States.</li> <li><strong>Schedule</strong>: Opportunities are available for both part-time and full-time contracts. Working hours generally follow day or afternoon schedules based on your regional time zone.</li> <li><strong>Timezone</strong>: While we support flexible work, most roles align with standard daytime hours in their region (e.g., 9 AM–6 PM). For instance, this may mean Central Standard Time (CST) in the Americas or Central European Time (CET) in EMEA. Please ensure your availability aligns with your region’s core hours.</li> <li><strong>Required Devices</strong>: You must have access to an Android or iOS mobile device for testing.</li> <li><strong>Internet Connection</strong>: A reliable, high-speed internet connection is required for testing and team communications. Mobile hotspots and other unstable or limited connections are not suitable.</li> </ul> <h3>What Your Day Looks Like</h3> <ul> <li>Execute smoke, scripted, and exploratory test cases on mobile, web, and desktop platforms.</li> <li>Conduct functional, localization, regression, or payment testing to ensure software applications meet quality standards.</li> <li>Reproduce issues found during testing.</li> <li>Document and report test results, including bugs and potential risks. Clearly communicate findings to the development team and stakeholders.</li> <li>Configure and prepare test environments per the provided instructions.</li> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.</li> <li>Design and optimize appropriate test data.</li> <li>Provide clear feedback about outdated, incomplete, or inefficient test cases.</li> <li>Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.</li> </ul> <h3>What You’ll Need to Succeed</h3> <p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience (2+ years) as a Software Tester or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools (such as Jira, TestRail, Xray, or similar).</li> <li>Experience with mobile and web applications frontend testing; backend testing is a bonus.</li> <li>Proficiency in identifying and documenting software bugs and issues.</li> <li>Ability to solve basic technical tasks required during testing, such as test data generation, log capturing, and basic analysis, working with browser developer tools, network logs analyzers, etc.</li> <li>Experience working in agile teams in a remote environment - proven track record of communication and collaboration with stakeholders such as Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and others.</li> <li>Good understanding of SDLC.</li> <li>Experience with these primary testing categories: functional and regression testing.</li> <li>Familiarity with API testing tools like Charles, Insomnia, and Postman is a strong plus.</li> <li>A certificate of completion of BBST Foundations, Bug Advocacy, Test Design, and Domain testing courses or similar is not required, but it is nice to have.</li> <li>Minor scripting or programming experience is not required, but it is nice to have.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Human Skills:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Effective English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Drive to learn quickly and continuously expand knowledge.</li> <li>Comfortable with a frequently changing environment and able to adapt fast.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.</li> </ul> <h3>What is the Consideration Process</h3> <p>Whenever a new opportunity arises, the Talent Acquisition team will review applicants and reach out to begin learning more.
