Quality Assurance Specialist

<p>ECS is seeking an experienced <strong><em>Quality Assurance Specialist </em></strong><em>to</em> work <strong><em>remotely </em></strong>providing support for cloud-related application and infrastructure migration and modernization efforts performed under this contract for <strong><em>NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT)</em></strong>. This engagement supports the External Enterprise Software Development Support Services program area which includes the development, support, and maintenance of NIH enterprise applications managed by the Software Engineering Branch.</p> <p><strong><u>Please Note:</u> This position is contingent upon [contract win].</strong></p> <p>The NIAID NEAT Quality Assurance Specialist will perform Quality Assurance checks and provide software testing services for all applications maintained by SEB.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain the level of quality throughout the software life cycle.</li> <li>Develop and implement quality control and testing methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures.</li> <li>Establish measures to evaluate software quality and maintain a process for testing and creating associated documentation, including use of automated testing tools where practical.</li> <li>Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to the HHS EPLC-compliant, software development life cycle as well as other government standards such as 508 Compliance</li> <li>Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determine requisite quality control resources.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.</strong></li> <li><strong>Active Public Trust or higher security clearance.</strong></li> <li><strong>Minimum 5 + years’ experience supporting Health IT software development initiatives.</strong></li> <li>Active Public Trust or higher security clearance.</li> <li>Proficiency in establishing and maintaining quality control processes.</li> <li>Knowledge of determining resource requirements for quality control.</li> <li>Prior supervisory experience in directing support staff.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in maintaining quality levels throughout the software lifecycle.</li> <li>Ability to conduct effective formal and informal reviews.</li> <li>Reside within the Washington DC Metro area.</li> <li>Travel within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS as needed.</li> </ul>
