Remote Senior Agentic AI / CI/CD Software Engineer

<p>For a leading Swiss organisation, we are looking for an experienced Senior / Principal Agentic AI & CI/CD Software Engineer to support a strategic Agentic Engineering initiative.</p> <p>The project focuses on establishing secure, scalable and repeatable engineering practices for AI agent capabilities, modernising software delivery processes, and improving engineering productivity through automation and measurable development metrics.</p> <p>The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on CI/CD engineering expertise with a solid understanding of software supply chain security, GitHub/Bitbucket ecosystems and emerging Agentic AI development practices.</p> <p>The assignment is structured into two phases:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Phase 1 (November–December 2026)</strong>: Initial implementation, validation and delivery of key engineering capabilities.</li> <li><strong>Phase 2 (January–March 2027):</strong> Continuous improvement, integration enhancements and optimisation based on pilot feedback</li> </ul> <p><strong>Agentic AI Skills & Lifecycle Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish secure and repeatable processes for validating, reviewing, approving and publishing AI agent skills.</li> <li>Implement governance and quality controls for agent skills and related engineering workflows.</li> <li>Demonstrate a complete skill lifecycle, including version management and rollback capabilities.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal security guidelines and engineering standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>CI/CD Engineering & DevSecOps</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement and optimise secure CI/CD pipelines and reusable workflows.</li> <li>Develop automated quality gates, validation mechanisms and secure deployment processes.</li> <li>Work with containers, runners, scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).</li> <li>Implement security controls for dependencies, packages, secrets and access permissions.</li> <li>Improve developer experience and engineering productivity through automation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>GitHub, Bitbucket & Engineering Metrics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Extract, process and analyse repository data using GitHub and Bitbucket APIs.</li> <li>Support the migration and preservation of Bitbucket repository history, including commits, pull requests, reviews and associated metadata.</li> <li>Establish reproducible engineering performance baselines.</li> <li>Develop and validate aggregated SDLC and DORA metrics, including lead time, review performance and quality indicators.</li> <li>Ensure exported repository information remains accessible, consistent and verifiable.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Engineering Scaffold & Integration</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Contribute hands-on engineering improvements to an existing development scaffold and tooling ecosystem.</p> </li> <li><p>Develop and test targeted integrations and workflow enhancements.</p> </li> <li><p>Collaborate with internal architects and engineering teams to ensure architectural alignment.</p> </li> <li><p>Translate pilot feedback into prioritised technical improvements.</p> </li> <li><p>Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer and structured handover.</p> </li> <li><p>Several years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps or CI/CD Engineering.</p> </li> <li><p>Strong hands-on expertise in building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines.</p> </li> <li><p>Advanced knowledge of GitHub, Bitbucket, Git workflows and repository APIs.</p> </li> <li><p>Practical experience with reusable workflows, runners, containers, scripting and Infrastructure as Code.</p> </li> <li><p>Solid understanding of DevSecOps and software supply chain security.</p> </li> <li><p>Experience with dependency validation, trusted sources, secrets management, access controls and secure automation.</p> </li> <li><p>Proven ability to extract, transform and analyse software development metrics, including SDLC and DORA indicators.</p> </li> <li><p>Strong troubleshooting, integration and technical documentation skills.</p> </li> <li><p>Ability to work independently in complex enterprise engineering environments.</p> </li> <li><p>English proficiency at C1 level or higher.</p> </li> <li><p>Availability during Swiss business hours.</p> </li> </ul><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.ch/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Switzerland</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
