<strong>Sandblaster / Painter <br><br></strong>The Sandblaster/Painter is responsible for preparing parts and equipment for painting and protective coating, including performing sandblasting and surface preparation to ensure quality finishes. Tiger Calcium Services Inc. is proud to operate under one umbrella with other iconic salt companies including Morton Salt, Windsor Salt, and more.<br><br><strong>What’s In It For You<br><br></strong><ul><li> Competitive wages </li><li> Annual performance bonus <br><br></li></ul><strong>What Will You Do In This Role<br><br></strong><ul><li> In addition to company policies, comply with all policies, procedures and regulations related to health, safety and the environment. </li><li> Perform daily hazard assessments and equipment checks. </li><li> Order and track required material and supplies to maintain an effective, functional body shop. </li><li> To minimize waste, review items to be repaired, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan the work to be performed. </li><li> Sand body areas to be painted. Prime and paint repaired surface. </li><li> Clean and maintain all body shop equipment to keep it in good reliable working condition. </li><li> Accurately completes all required paperwork and permits. </li><li> Sandblast parts and equipment to required specifications. </li><li> Communicate any deficiencies and safety concerns to the Production Manager. <br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Are Looking For<br><br></strong><ul><li>Journeyman certification for Painting is preferred; however, we will consider candidates with significant related experience and a demonstrated track record in the trade.</li><li>Minimum one-year experience in an industrial sandblasting environment.</li><li>Valid Driver’s license.</li><li>Experience on a skid steer or wheel loader would be an asset. </li><li>Forklift and Aerial Work Platform certification would be considered an asset.</li><li>Familiar with a variety of industrial coatings.</li><li>Able to follow written and verbal directions.</li><li>Operating knowledge of all related tools and equipment with the ability to operate in a safe and effective manner. </li><li>Possess a strong attention to detail with outstanding organizational skills.</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Mechanical ability would be considered an asset.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Able To Lift and Carry 50 lbs.</li><li>Work from height.</li><li>Climbing, crouching, stooping, and working in awkward positions required.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Conditions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be able to wear all required and specialized PPE, including respirators and blaster hood.</li><li>Working inside and outside in various weather conditions.</li><li>Work involves exposure to dust and fumes.</li><li>Working from heights, aerial platform or scaffolding.<br><br></li></ul><strong>How To Apply<br><br></strong>Navigate to Tiger’s website: www.tigercalcium.com\About\Careers to complete the online application process.<br/><br/>Please mention the word **CORNERSTONE** and tag RMmEwMTo0Zjg6MTQxOjQyMjk6OjI= when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMmEwMTo0Zjg6MTQxOjQyMjk6OjI=).
