Senior ADAS Function Application & Vehicle Calibration Engineer

<p>We are looking for experienced <strong>ADAS Function Application Engineers</strong> who can take technical ownership of ADAS functions from requirements and parameter definition through virtual validation, <strong>prototype vehicle testing, calibration and customer acceptance.</strong></p> <p>The work covers areas including <strong>Driving, Active Safety, Parking and Vision</strong> and requires regular hands-on work with development and prototype vehicles.</p> <p><strong>Locations:</strong> Prague, Czech Republic / Braunschweig / Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany. Candidates based in or around <strong>Stuttgart and Braunschweig are preferred</strong>.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Take end-to-end application responsibility for assigned ADAS functions.</li> <li>Analyze functional and performance requirements.</li> <li>Develop and maintain function-specific <strong>application and tuning guidelines</strong>.</li> <li>Identify, calibrate and maintain application parameters and datasets.</li> <li>Perform bench and virtual validation before vehicle deployment.</li> <li>Execute <strong>prototype vehicle application, calibration and tuning</strong>.</li> <li>Plan and execute vehicle measurement and validation campaigns.</li> <li>Analyze CAN/CAN-FD traces, diagnostics, measurements and functional deviations.</li> <li>Investigate vehicle issues and perform structured root-cause analysis.</li> <li>Support multiple SW releases and vehicle variants.</li> <li>Explain parameter changes, tuning decisions and function behavior directly to customer engineering teams.</li> <li>Support customer reviews, test drives and acceptance activities.</li> <li>Participate in vehicle campaigns in Germany and potentially other international markets.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>4+ years of automotive engineering experience.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>ADAS application, calibration, vehicle integration or function development</strong>.</li> <li>Strong experience in at least one area:<br> <strong>Driving / ACC / Travel Assist, Active Safety / AEB, Parking, or Vision.</strong></li> <li>Practical experience working directly with prototype or development vehicles.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA or comparable automotive tools</strong>.</li> <li>Strong CAN/CAN-FD and automotive diagnostics knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to independently perform vehicle measurements, analyze behavior and tune parameters.</li> <li>Good English communication skills.</li> <li><strong>Valid driving licence and ability to obtain the required VW Group prototype/test-vehicle driving authorization.</strong></li> </ul> <p>Highly preferred</p> <p><strong>Existing valid VW Group prototype/test-vehicle driving authorization / prototype driving licence.</strong></p> <p>Candidates who already possess the required authorization to drive <strong>VW Group development/prototype vehicles</strong> will be strongly preferred, particularly for the Germany-based positions.</p> <p>Also beneficial:</p> <ul> <li>Previous VW Group project experience</li> <li>German language</li> <li>UDS diagnostics</li> <li>Python</li> <li>HIL/SIL/virtual validation</li> <li>Camera, radar, ultrasonic or surround-view experience</li> <li>GSR / Euro NCAP experience</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Attractive offer package with annual bonus payment</li> <li>30 days of vacation</li> <li>Professional workplace in modern offices, possibilities of mobile office</li> <li>A pleasant and flat hierarchy working environment with experienced teams</li> <li>Diverse career opportunities through a comprehensive range of training and further education</li> <li>Company - sponsored pension scheme</li> <li>Diverse company events</li> </ul> <p><em>FPT is committed to an inclusive society in which all human rights and fundamental freedoms are respected and upheld.
