Senior Consultant, Advisory and Risk Consulting (Manager m/w/d)

<p>We are now seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and business-minded professional with creativity, initiative, teamwork and project management skills to help drive our advisory and risk consulting practice. Our consultants are focused on helping organizations understand, mitigate, respond to and recover from evolving security threats and risks. Example areas of focus include corporate security, crisis management, business continuity, enterprise risk management, supply chain risk management, emergency response, and insider risk. The role of Senior Consultant is that of a fee-earning consultant who will be expected to market, sell and deliver end-to-end engagements. Ideally you will be based in Berlin but we will consider applicants based in Frankfurt am Main.</p><p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>To form a strong partnership with the advisory and risk consulting management team to drive long-term, sustainable growth across all risk practice areas in EMEA.&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with clients to understand their strategic objectives and design tailored solutions that strengthen resilience, improve decision-making and address evolving risk challenges</li><li>Lead multiple engagements concurrently, working across EMEA and global teams to bring together the expertise, capabilities and resources required to achieve successful client outcomes</li><li>Drive the development of innovative consulting products and services, including AI-enabled risk and resilience solutions, that address client needs and maintain Control Risks at the forefront of the sector</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Project management</strong></p><ul><li>Own the commercial performance of engagements, ensuring delivery against financial targets, quality standards, timeline and client expectations.</li><li>Provide robust forecasting, financial oversight and portfolio management in collaboration with Finance and ARC leadership.</li><li>Drive efficient resource planning and workforce deployment across regional and global teams to maximize utilization and support business growth</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Business development</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the pursuit and conversion of strategic opportunities, taking overall responsibility for the development of compelling, differentiated and commercially viable client proposals</li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying client needs and contributing to the expansion of existing and future engagements and accounts</li><li>Work closely with colleagues across the business to develop integrated solutions that address client challenges and create new opportunities for growth</li><li>Contribute market insight, sector knowledge and thought leadership to strengthen Control Risks' market position and support business development activities</li><li>Identify emerging client priorities and market trends, including AI and technology-driven developments, and help translate these into innovative client solutions</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Experience delivering consulting engagements across crisis management, emergency management, enterprise risk management (ERM), business continuity management (BCM), security management and organisational resilience in complex or high-risk environments</li></ul><ul><li>Background in supporting risk, resilience, security and transformation initiatives, including the design and enhancement of frameworks, operating models and capabilities</li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to manage consulting engagements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic and operational objectives</li></ul><ul><li>Commercially aware, with experience in project planning, budgeting, resourcing and client relationship management</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Master's degree or advanced diploma in risk management, security studies, geopolitics, international relations, political science or a related discipline</li></ul><ul><li>A proven track record in consulting is mandatory;
