Senior EDI Developer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for a <strong>Senior EDI Developer</strong> to join a US-based IT services and technology consultancy on a <strong>10-month W-2 contract</strong> engagement. In this fully remote role, you will perform solution-level technical analysis, design, and implementation of EDI integrations, while leading the day-to-day technical execution of integration and API projects across globally distributed teams.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.</strong> Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Translate solution designs into production-ready EDI integration implementations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ensure code quality and adherence to development standards across all deliverables.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead technical work streams and provide hands-on technical guidance to the broader team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Mentor junior developers and conduct thorough code reviews.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams in a remote-first environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely and methodical manner.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required — Dealbreakers:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>8–10 years of experience</strong> with IBM Sterling Integrator (v5.2.6 or above).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven EDI development, maintenance, support, and monitoring experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Mastery of mapping formats: <strong>X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, CSV, JSON, and Flat Files</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with communication protocols: <strong>FTP, SFTP, AS2, and VAN</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency with <strong>DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, Web Services, and REST APIs</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of EDI architecture including encryption, authentication, monitoring, scalability, and availability.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Also Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to lead technical work streams, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams and providing technical leadership.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Availability for a W-2 contract engagement (not C2C or 1099).</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Rate:</strong> Up to $60/hour on W-2.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Contract Duration:</strong> 10 months.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Employment Classification:</strong> W-2 contract.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>100% Remote</strong> — open to candidates based anywhere in the United States.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Visa sponsorship: <strong>Not available.</strong> Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.</p></li></ul><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
