Imagine what we’ll build together.</p> <h3><strong>About the Finance Team</strong></h3> <p>The Thumbtack Finance team’s mission is to be a strategic finance partner to the business to enable better business decisions that are supported by data while building a world class finance function and to do it all with integrity.</p> <h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>The Senior Financial Analyst, CCO will partner with various leaders at Thumbtack to help manage and grow the business. The company is growing at a rapid pace and you will play an important role providing thought partnership and decision support to many new initiatives. This role reports to the Finance Manager of FP&amp;A.</p> <h3><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Drive the monthly, annual forecasts and budgets for all opex spend, highlighting insightful variance analysis and implications to forecast</p> </li> <li> <p>Forecast accurately, not only aligning on assumptions with stakeholders, but understanding what, where, and why we spend</p> </li> <li> <p>Evaluate trade offs and financial sensitivities leading to better decision making and scenario planning</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide front line support for ad hoc financial analysis requests and inquiries, presenting and visualizing data and insights</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop efficiency metrics to help inform growth and set financial context</p> </li> <li> <p>Establish and maintain trusting relationships with all key stakeholders</p> </li> <li> <p>Reconcile HC for organization</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner closely with business partners to understand their needs and develop effective and strategic cost management solutions</p> </li> <li> <p>Support Sales team to ensure accuracy and alignment of commissions</p> </li> </ul> <h3><strong>In order to be successful, you must bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field</p> </li> <li> <p>6+ years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&amp;A, corporate finance, or management consulting</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, using key tools within Excel and G-Suite</p> </li> <li> <p>Adopts a constant improvement mindset and applies towards making processes &amp; procedures more efficient</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong understanding of/ exposure to US GAAP or IFRS</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent problem solving and analytical skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization</p> </li> <li> <p>Amenable to working a graveyard shift aligned with PST hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST)</p> </li> </ul> <p>Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.</p> <p>Thumbtack embraces diversity.
