(Senior) Freelance Web Developer

<br><strong>What you will be doing</strong><p><ul><li>Building and maintaining high-performance, accessible websites and web applications.</li><li>Contributing to frontend, backend, API, and data model design and implementation.</li><li>Developing CMS-driven websites, including content modelling, localisation, and editorial workflows.</li><li>Implementing product features, backend functionality, and user interfaces.</li><li>Integrating with internal systems, third-party services, and external APIs.</li><li>Supporting SEO, performance, and accessibility best practices, including Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.1 AA.</li><li>Assisting with deployment, hosting, testing, QA, and documentation.</li><li>Working independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and proactively solving problems.</li></ul></p><br><strong>We need you to have</strong><p><ul><li>5+ years of professional web development experience delivering production-ready websites and web applications.</li><li>Strong experience with React; Next.js strongly preferred.</li><li>Solid full-stack experience with TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, and database-backed applications.</li><li>Experience with headless CMS platforms, e.g. Strapi/Contentful, including localisation, editorial workflows, preview setups, and customisation.</li><li>Strong skills in HTML5, CSS, and modern styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS or CSS Modules.</li><li>Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.</li><li>Proven ability to optimise for performance, accessibility, and SEO.</li><li>Experience with deployment workflows, CI/CD, and cloud/hosting environments.</li><li>Familiarity with internationalisation/localisation approaches and regional content requirements.</li><li>Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to work independently and proactively.</li><li>Comfort using AI-powered development tools is a plus.</li></ul></p><br><strong>Benefits</strong><p><ul><li>Freelance/contractor</li><li>Start Date: September</li><li>Duration: 2–3 months, depends on capacity</li><li>Location: CET +/- 2h</li><li>Capacity: 30–40h per week</li></ul></p><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
