<p>For a long-term cloud infrastructure project, we are looking for an <strong>experienced Senior Go / Kubernetes Developer</strong> to support the further development of a distributed multi-provider cloud and edge platform. You will work in an international engineering environment and contribute primarily to the development of <strong>Kubernetes-native infrastructure automation using Go</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Start:</strong> asap</p> <p><strong>Duration:</strong> 12+ months</p> <p><strong>Capacity:</strong> 100%</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote</p> <p><strong>Preferred setup:</strong> Nearshore / Europe-compatible</p> <p><strong>Language:</strong> English; German beneficial</p> <p><strong>Contract:</strong> Freelance</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Design and develop <strong>Kubernetes Operators and Controllers in Go</strong></li> <li>Develop cloud-native backend services and <strong>Kubernetes-native APIs</strong></li> <li>Design and implement <strong>Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)</strong> and reconciliation logic</li> <li>Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud, edge and bare-metal infrastructure</li> <li>Integrate infrastructure, networking and platform components via Kubernetes APIs</li> <li>Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests</li> <li>Analyze, troubleshoot and improve Go applications and Kubernetes controllers</li> <li>Contribute to technical architecture, code reviews and engineering standards</li> <li>Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security and AI/ML specialists</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Several years of professional software development experience with <strong>strong hands-on Go / Golang expertise</strong></li> <li>Proven experience developing <strong>Kubernetes Operators and/or Custom Controllers in Go</strong></li> <li>Strong practical knowledge of the <strong>Kubernetes API, CRDs and reconciliation patterns</strong></li> <li>Experience with common Kubernetes development frameworks such as <strong>controller-runtime, client-go, Kubebuilder or Operator SDK</strong></li> <li>Good understanding of <strong>Go concurrency, APIs, testing and backend/service development</strong></li> <li>Experience developing and operating <strong>containerized applications</strong></li> <li>Good understanding of <strong>cloud-native and distributed infrastructure</strong></li> <li>Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as <strong>compute, networking, storage and automated provisioning</strong></li> </ul> <p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
