Senior Industry Adviser, UK Pensions Administration

<p>Intelance helps organisations make practical decisions about technology, costs and change. We are looking for a freelance Senior Industry Adviser with deep UK pensions administration experience to provide an independent practical check on technology assessment findings.</p> <p>This is a focused advisory role. You will test whether proposed technology and operating changes make sense for pensions administration. A typical assignment may involve around two days split between a findings review and review of the final report. Scope and days are agreed separately. Primarily remote within the UK.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Review findings about pensions administration systems and their connections to other services.</li> <li>Test proposed changes against operational needs, service quality and delivery constraints.</li> <li>Challenge weak assumptions about internal teams, suppliers and transition risks.</li> <li>Help architects distinguish genuine business requirements from platform preferences.</li> <li>Review relevant recommendations and explain any practical concerns clearly.</li> <li>Work with client specialists while respecting their existing pensions knowledge.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Senior operational, consulting or technology leadership experience in UK pensions administration.</li> <li>Direct knowledge of administration processes, data quality, system interfaces and supplier delivery.</li> <li>Experience reviewing technology or operating changes affecting pensions services.</li> <li>Able to give independent advice without promoting a particular platform or supplier.</li> <li>Confident discussing findings with senior technology and business leaders.</li> <li>Able to disclose and manage relevant conflicts of interest before accepting an assignment.</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>£1,000 to £1,500 per day, depending on relevant experience. Rates exclude VAT where applicable. Contracting route and tax status will be confirmed before an assignment is agreed.</li> <li>Short, focused assignments suited to an experienced independent adviser.</li> <li>Direct access to the engagement partner and technical team.</li> <li>Flexible remote working, with any necessary travel agreed in advance.</li> <li>Potential for further assignments by mutual agreement.
