This is a hybrid role. It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing team, where you will manage day-to-day general ledger operations, ensure robust internal controls, and partner with cross-functional leaders to keep pace within one of the fastest-growing marketplace companies.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, SOX controls, and external audits.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Integrate general ledger accounting operations to drive alignment with global processes across the organisation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Share ownership of the full-cycle general ledger financial close process, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate financials.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to streamline accounting operations and refine monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Act as a key decision-maker in the continuous development of accounting policies, standard operating procedures, and monthly variance analysis in partnership with FP&amp;A and Financial Reporting.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You’ll Need to Thrive</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Essential:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Extensive public company accounting experience within a relevant industry, alongside proven experience managing and developing staff.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, and SOX internal controls.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven track record of managing full-cycle financial close processes and maintaining robust accounting operations.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ACA/ACCACPA qualification, or equivalent professional experience.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience working with financial systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters, solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better.
