You are comfortable operating in an environment of fast pace and thrive in solving hard problems within a cross-functional team. </p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a vital role in building and scaling our mobile app, empowering businesses to access flexible financing solutions. Your passion for technology and your ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in driving our mission forward.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Leading on initiatives that improve or add functionality to Funding Circle mobile applications delivering a great user experience for customers</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborating as part of an agile cross functional team, as well as technology guilds</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Implement business functionality, using React Native, for both iOS and Android</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and team collaboration, including mentoring colleagues in the mobile team</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure code is well tested</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">QA features to find bugs, usability issues and performance concerns</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What we’re looking for 🌱</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We value deep expertise, but a growth mindset and good energy are what really make our team click. We’re a group that chooses to lift each other up and think smart every day.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Commercial experience with React.js, React Native and the associated ecosystem</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong mobile automated testing experience (unit, integration &amp; end-to-end)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent communication, both written and verbal</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Good JavaScript knowledge, ideally including TypeScript</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with continuous delivery, build pipelines and app releases (both App Store and Play Store)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with mobile ecosystem tooling such as Firebase.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with Gradle, XCode and other native build tools</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to work with REST APIs and third-party services/libraries</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of software engineering principles</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with code version control</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Able to architect custom AI solutions and smart automated systems that are safe, maintainable, and aligned with our long-term mission</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Act as a technical bridge and mentor, training “builders" across the company to move from basic AI usage to sophisticated system creation</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>We’re building a place where everyone truly feels they belong.
