In this role,<span style="color:#5A5F72"> you’ll be shaping the core B2B product that connects global carriers, retailers, and travel partners to Distribusion’s infrastructure. </span></p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#5A5F72">Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5A5F72">Develop and maintain backend services and APIs within a web project.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5A5F72">Successfully implement the backend of business-critical applications.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5A5F72">Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5A5F72">Debug, test, and optimise applications for performance and scalability.</span></p></li><li><p>Improve development workflows: CI, PR reviews, local testing, and release processes that keep iteration fast and friction low.</p></li><li><p>Partner with stakeholders across the business. Turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, challenge assumptions, and align solutions with real-world constraints.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong>Workplace:</strong></p><p>Berlin &amp; Hybrid: HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets.</p><p>Remote: We are a remote-first company with teams located around the Globe.</p> <br> <p><strong><span style="color:#5C6175">You have:</span></strong></p><ul><li><p>Several years of experience building and operating backend services in Python, with ownership across the full lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance <span style="color:#5C6175">(other languages such as Ruby, Typescript,&nbsp;are a plus).</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5C6175">Experience with frameworks: preferably FastAPI, Django, ReactJS.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5C6175">Nice to have: full-stack experience, Docker, Kubernetes.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5C6175">General good understanding of SQL databases, indexes and locks.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#5C6175">You are driven, ambitious, and willing to get hands-on in shaping the future of ground transportation travel.</span></p></li><li><p>Product-minded engineer who contributes beyond implementation. You actively shape technical direction, influence product decisions, and help define the platform's future evolution.</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
