Reports can also be used to simply export raw data about client's UGC like questions, answers, reviews and products, while Insights provides analytical dashboards and data visualizations to help clients understand trends and patterns in their data. Staff Engineers at Bazaarvoice lead software initiatives from conception to delivery, while driving engineering best practices and helping mentor talent.</span></div><br><strong>Who you are:</strong><br><li>BSc in Computer Science or equivalent (education or work based)</li><li>7+ years of experience building and supporting scalable, distributed systems using open-source tools</li><li>Proven hands-on experience with Object Oriented programming languages and with at least 1 scripting language (ex. Java/C++/etc. and Python/Ruby/etc.)</li><li>Prior technical leadership and/or mentorship experience</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies</li><li>Experience with writing complex SQL queries (any dialect but PostgreSQL is a plus)</li><li>Experience with some sort of API framework (ex. Spring Boot)</li><li>Experience with public cloud hosting provider (AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, Azure or similar)</li><li>Experience using modern build tools such as Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.</li><li>Experience with Amazon Web Services a strong plus - CloudFormation, EMR, S3, EC2, Cloud Trail, etc.</li><li>Experience with data visualization and analytics tools/frameworks (e.g., <a rel="noopener noreferrer" class="postings-link" href="http://D3.js">D3.js</a>, Tableau, Looker, or similar) is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical, technical, and communication (oral and written) skills</li><li>Someone committed to excellence.
