Senior Veterinary Nurse

You'll be joining a supportive team of 2.5 FTE Veterinary Surgeons, one RVN, one SVN, two Receptionist/Animal Nursing Assistants, and an experienced Practice Manager. Located in a lovely area with convenient off-street parking nearby, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a collaborative and welcoming team.</p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <h2>How You’ll Make a Difference</h2> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p>As a Senior Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of nursing care while supporting and developing colleagues within the practice.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to support excellent patient and client care. You'll also act as a source of guidance for the nursing team and contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards, workflows and patient outcomes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Working Pattern</strong></p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>* Ideally 40 hours per week; however, we will accept part-time applications also&nbsp;</div> <div>* 4 x 10-hour shifts between 8 am - 7:30 pm&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p><strong>General Responsibilities</strong></p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <p>*Deliver high-quality nursing care across theatre, inpatient care, diagnostics and medical cases</p> <p>*Run a range of nurse consultations, including post-operative checks, weight management clinics, puppy and kitten clinics, senior pet clinics, and other preventative healthcare appointments</p> <p>*Support the Lead Veterinary Surgeon with the day-to-day coordination of the nursing team and clinical areas</p> <p>*Lead by example, promoting high standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical best practice</p> <p>*Mentor, coach and support Student Veterinary Nurses, Animal Nursing Assistants, and less experienced RVNs to encourage their professional development</p> <p>*Assist with nurse training, inductions, and ongoing clinical development&nbsp;</p> <p>*Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and practice protocols</p> <p>*Support stock control, equipment maintenance, and the efficient running of clinical areas</p> <p>*Deliver exceptional client care, providing clear advice and education to support preventative healthcare and treatment plans</p> </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <h2>You Might Be a Great Fit If...</h2> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p>You are an experienced and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys supporting others and leading by example.
