Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build cost observability and usage-tracking tooling across LLM and agent workloads, so teams can see what AI actually costs and where we can accelerate productivity and impact.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and ship internal tooling and guardrails that let business and engineering teams adopt agentic coding workflows safely and productively.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Evaluate new AI tools, models, and vendors, and turn findings into clear build-vs-buy recommendations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Write and maintain production quality code and automated tests for the platforms and tools you own.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review peers' code for correctness, readability, and maintainability.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own delivery of projects end to end, from scoping through production rollout across a mix of infrastructure, tooling, and process work.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Establish and socialise best practices for AI usage across the business.</p></li></ul><h2>What We're Looking For</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">2+ years of professional software engineering experience, comfortable operating independently on unfamiliar codebases.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A track record of owning and shipping mid-sized features or projects end to end.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with building distributed data systems, feedback loops and measuring impact of work with metrics.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong testing discipline and experience improving CI/CD or developer tooling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Someone who is focused on solving problems rather than working on particular tech stack / languages</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Clear written and verbal communicator.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bonus: experience with LLM/agentic tooling, AI cost observability, or internal developer platforms.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A generalist with an attitude for learning and growth.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Diversity &amp; Equal Opportunities:</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We embrace diversity and equality in a serious way.
