We are looking to speak with coding enthusiasts who live and breathe software, and who obsess about quality. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Day-to-day responsibilities will include.</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Writing high quality, hyper performant, and well-structured code to support and extend the existing Zilch product.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Breaking down complex product features and back-end improvements into well planned, detailed, deliverable tasks on a technical level.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Advising and guiding teams on Engineering best practice, solution design and problem solving.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Being responsible for system quality, monitoring, unit/integration testing and advising on testing strategy improvements.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Working in an agile environment on user stories that deliver significant impact for our customers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Building integrations and APIs that are rock-solid, secure, well-tested, and highly performant.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Continuous improvement of code, systems, processes, and knowledge.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Working with databases and data securely and efficiently.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Liaising with stakeholders to triage inbound bug reports, reproduce reported issues and identify solutions.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What we’re looking for.</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrated experience (preferably 5+ years) in Java Software Development, Spring Boot, building microservices and robust interfaces, using SQL type databases such as MySQL or SQL Server and integrating with external services.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A bachelor and/or master’s degree in a technical field.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Team/Technical leadership experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Highly skilled in cloud architecture (AWS) and tooling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in cloud infrastructure, Infra as code (Terraform) and CI/CD</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Detail-oriented and committed to quality.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A positive, collaborative attitude and approach to development and testing.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Preferred.</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Exposure to NoSQL type databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Knowledge of React, Angular and TypeScript</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">DevOps mindset</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience working on a B2C product</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Benefits.<br />Compensation &amp;
