Software Test (QA) Automation Engineer - Mandatory Internship

<p><strong>About Occibo</strong></p> <p>Occibo is an AI-powered SaaS platform for children's book creation, built by IndieKidz GmbH in Berlin. We're a small, remote-first team looking for a QA intern to help us build and maintain automated testing so we can ship new features quickly and with confidence.</p> <p><strong>Internship type</strong></p> <p>Mandatory internship as part of your degree program.<br> This internship is unpaid.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <p>● Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app</p> <p>● Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows</p> <p>● Translate product requirements into automated checks, including edge cases</p> <p>● Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors</p> <p>● Run tests in CI, track failures, and help keep the test suite reliable</p> <p>● Use AI tools to speed up test creation, analysis, and maintenance</p> <p><strong>Tools you might work with</strong></p> <p>Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest, GitHub Actions</p> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <p>● Currently enrolled in CS, Software Engineering, or a related field</p> <p>● Experience with at least one test automation framework (Playwright or Cypress preferred)</p> <p>● Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and Git</p> <p>● Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design</p> <p>● Interest in AI and experience using AI tools</p> <p>● Fluent English</p> <h2>Benefits</h2> <p>● Hands-on experience with a real product, not a classroom exercise</p> <p>● Direct collaboration with the founder and development team</p> <p>● A portfolio of shipped QA work you can show future employers</p> <p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p> <p>● Prior SaaS UI automation experience</p> <p>● API testing experience (Postman or REST clients)</p> <p>● Based in Berlin and able to join onsite occasionally</p> <p><strong>How to apply</strong></p> <p>Send a message with your CV, short note/cover letter(preferred), your best project link, the test framework you know, and your availability and start date.</p> <p>We are looking for candidates available to start in October 2026.</p> <p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
